THE EASIEST MOVE-IN EVER!

If you’ve ever moved before, you probably are thinking, “How could a move be easy?”

Let me start by congratulating my client. Because she took my professional advice and did everything I suggested.

First, we purged the entire house, from the drawers, to the cabinets, to the pantry to the closets. Nothing was packed for moving that was not absolutely loved, planned for, and intended to be used in the new downsized space.

While the movers were packing, we marked each box to note which room each box would go in the new home.

My client also hired a re-designer on my recommendation and used the moving company we recommended.  The re-designer staked out the new property in advance and drew out a plan showing where each piece of  furniture would go.

The movers then followed this plan and placed every piece of furniture in the designated places.

My client also called a local charity which picked up all the donateable items we had staged in her garage, the day after she moved in to her new space.

She had me on site when the movers delivered her boxes and furniture to the new home, and I immediately was able to get to work putting things away in the most efficient and effective use of space.  She was able to sleep in the new space that evening.

10 hours later, 5 hours the first day, 5 hours the second day, I was done organizing and the move-in was complete.

Moral of the story: Happy Client, Happy Organizer!
